Loss of a Leading Light
It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of our acclaimed accompanist and friend, Mike Ward on November 27th, 2025.
Mike was associated with Newport Male Voice Choir for nineteen years. His proficiency, patience and humour will be missed by all.

Congratulations!
Well done, Geoff
Ninety year old Geoff Porter joined the choir in 1950 as it was getting started in St Nicolas Church, Newport. That means that Geoff, who still sings with the choir on a very regular basis, has now been a member for seventy four years. The choir has rewarded Geoff with lifetime membership. We wish Geoff many more years of very positive contribution.

Heading for warmer pastures.
Our 2024 Christmas Concert was the last formal engagement for First Tenor George Phillips. Immediately after Christmas George and his wife, Carole will be leaving us to live in Portgual. George will be a huge loss to the choir and although we wish them both well we won’t be at all dissappointed if they return in a year or two.
